When Does Fortnite Go Down on 1 November 2026? (DST, Shop, Queue)

Epic has not published a downtime hour for the Override → Treasure Hunters flip. Battle Pass says 1 November 2026 Eastern Time. US clocks fall back that morning. Shop reset stays 00:00 UTC. Use Epic’s board, not a tweet.

Short answer

Epic has not posted a maintenance hour for the Override → Treasure Hunters reboot. What they have posted:

  • Battle Pass page: Override ends 1 November 2026, Eastern Time (fortnite.com/battle-pass). No hour.
  • Official Fortnite account, 24 October 2026: Treasure Hunters teaser captioned “The greatest adventure of all! 11.1”, then a Fortnite × One Piece logo clip. Sourced write-up: Treasure Hunters.
  • Unreal Engine forums (13 Oct 2026): a fix “targeted for v43.00 (November 1).” That is a build number, not a queue length.

This site’s countdown uses a UTC placeholder (`2026-11-01T23:00:00.000Z`) so the clock has *a* second to tick. That placeholder is not Epic’s hour. When the client is in a queue, use Is Fortnite down? and status.epicgames.com. Last reviewed: 29 October 2026.

Three clocks people are mixing up

ClockWhat it actually isWhat it is not
Fortnitemares freebies (Jack-a-Nape, Jimothy, login tapestry)This tracker ends them 31 October 2026. Epic’s Fortnitemares post does not print a minute. Not the Battle Pass. Not Safety in Numbers.
Override Battle Pass1 November 2026, Eastern Time, no hour. Unclaimed tiers lock. Not “Fortnite dies at midnight everywhere.”
Item ShopEpic Help: about 00:00 GMT/UTC every day. Guide: shop reset. Not the season reboot. A shop rotation can happen while BR is still up, or while you are in a queue.

Safety in Numbers / Cuddlz is a fourth clock. Recap sites put it on 12 November. fortnite.com did not. In-game timer wins. Cuddlz how-to.

US daylight saving ends the same morning

US clocks fall back Sunday 1 November 2026, 2:00 AM local (to 1:00 AM). Until that moment Eastern is still EDT (UTC−4). After it, Eastern is EST (UTC−5). Europe already fell back on 25 October.

That is why “1 November Eastern Time” arguments explode in Discord:

  • Start of 1 Nov in New York (midnight EDT) = 04:00 UTC, 1 Nov.
  • 00:00 UTC, 1 Nov (daily shop) = 8:00 PM EDT, 31 October.
  • After 2:00 AM Nov 1, “7 PM Eastern” shop math flips from EDT to EST. The shop anchor stays UTC midnight. Your wall clock moves; Epic’s UTC stamp does not.

Do not convert a YouTuber’s “2 AM ET downtime” unless they are quoting Epic. We will not invent 2 AM. Sit the countdown plus the Passes tab the evening of the 31st if you cannot watch the queue.

What to finish before you log off on the 31st

None of this is promised to survive the reboot. Claim it in-client.

  1. Override Battle Pass — unclaimed free-track and paid pages. Pass guide · XP calculator. Cost is still 800 V-Bucks: how much is the Battle Pass.
  2. Jack-a-Nape — 26 Nitemare quests. How-to.
  3. Jimothy — Dumpster Dive extract. How-to.
  4. Null ranked styles — Champion / Elite / Unreal. Null.
  5. Sprite Mastery last page — Quack / Pixel Polli. Dust is not advertised as carrying.
  6. Admin Panel codes still in your list. Never V-Bucks. Lobby Hacks.
  7. Prophetic Tapestry login claim.

Cuddlz is the exception *if* your quest timer still shows after downtime. Do not skip Jack-a-Nape because you assume every Halloween quest lasts two extra weeks.

If you panic-bought V-Bucks or a pass you cannot finish: refunds. If you have a card: redeem a code onto the right Epic account before the queue.

We do not publish a fake ping map. We do not guess queue length from v42.00’s five-hour launch. v43.00 can be shorter or longer.

What we will not fill in

Epic has still not published, as of this review:

  • A downtime start or end hour
  • Whether Treasure Hunters is a mini-season or a full season
  • A Chapter 8 date
  • Island / loot / Battle Pass for Treasure Hunters
  • One Piece outfits, prices, or pass pages
  • How long Sprite Dust, Gizmos, or unopened Fortnitemares toys sit in the locker after the flip

A pirate-chest landmark east of Sunken Shores is scenery on the live map, not a Treasure Hunters POI guide.

When the new season actually loads, the season hub is the sheet we will rewrite. Until then this page is the clock, not the patch notes.

FAQ

What time does Fortnite go down on November 1?

Not posted. Watch the Passes tab, status, and Epic’s board. This site’s countdown second is a placeholder.

Is Fortnite down because of daylight saving?

DST does not take the servers offline. It does make “7 PM Eastern shop” and “midnight November 1” mean different UTC stamps than last week. Convert from UTC, or you will miss a shop or log in an hour late.

Will I lose skins I already own?

Owned locker cosmetics stay. Unclaimed Battle Pass tiers do not. Claimed-but-unopened rewards are an Epic support case — open the Passes tab before you log off.

Should I stay in queue overnight?

Optional. Reboots have been a few hours in recent Chapter 7 flips. Sleeping is allowed. Just do not leave unclaimed Jack-a-Nape / pass tiers for “after the queue” if the event already expired.

Where is the live event?

Epic has not announced an end-of-Override live event on the Battle Pass page. A teaser video on 24 Oct is not a sky-event time. If a MOTD appears, it will show on news.
