How to Get Sprites in Fortnite Treasure Hunters (Wanted Posters & Mastery)

Tear down a Wanted Poster for a Sprite Treasure Map, dig the buried Sprite Chest, and bank it. Mastery Monday is 2x Sprite XP and Dust. Forty masters unlock Navigator’s Nosedive.

The live hunt loop

Treasure Hunters replaced Override’s “find a Sprite, extract it, repeat” loop with a poster → map → buried chest circuit. Epic’s 1 Nov item list:

> Wanted Poster: Spot one on a wall and tear it down — it turns into a Sprite Treasure Map that leads you to a buried Sprite Chest.

Last reviewed: 1 November 2026. Full roster: Sprites gallery. Season dates: Treasure Hunters. The old extract Sprites guide is a Runners archive — do not follow Override pad names on Crossbones Isle.

How to get a Sprite today

  1. Queue Battle Royale (80-player Crossbones Isle).
  2. Find a Wanted Poster on a wall. Tear it down. It becomes a Sprite Treasure Map.
  3. Follow the map. Dig the buried Sprite Chest with your pickaxe and open it.
  4. Bank / extract the Sprite the way the live client shows (pad, Portable Extractor, or a win). Epic did not reprint the Runners extract tutorial in the v43.00 notes — trust the in-match UI over an old POI list.
  5. Regular chests can also roll a Sprite. Wanted Posters are the named method, not the only roll.

Exmarks is the Sprite to catch first if you are starting from zero: Epic says it reveals nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters, and spawns a Treasure Map at max level.

Lil’ Flacko can also drop from the A$AP Rocky Boss on The $.$. Rocky. That is a fight drop, not a poster.

Launch twelve (1 Nov)

Epic named these as the new crew. Each has its own page on this site:

SpriteWhat Epic says it does
Halfpeel'dMarks elims on the map. Detection range grows with each level.
Re-PeteFaster reloads with a chance to refund ammo.
Barry O'FishSpend less stamina sprinting in water. Slap effect at max level.
ExmarksReveals nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters. Treasure Map at max.
PlundarrghOpen chests for increased pickaxe and movement speed.
ChesterMay spawn extra loot from chests and cancels fall damage.
WayfinderReveals nearby Sprites and extra loot from buried chests.
KelperRestores health over time in water. Bigger heals per level.
Lil' SquibblyJump into fishing holes to catch fish and bonus loot.
Lil’ FlackoShockwave on landing, knocks back opponents.
Sweet DreamsRandom item each level-up; Mythic burst at max.
Transponder SnailOn the live collection screen with the launch twelve — open its Sprite page for the ability we catalogued.

Epic also listed new & returning variants:

  • Fortune — reveals nearby chests. Live at launch.
  • Cursed — increases chance of rare Sprite variants, but water damages you. In the menu at launch.
  • Gold — 12 November. Bonus XP from eliminating opponents.

Lil’ Uzi Vert Jr. is not in the 1 Nov twelve. Recaps date it to a later Captain’s Day. Trust the collection screen.

Sprite Mastery (Treasure tab)

Epic brought the Sprite Mastery track back under the Treasure tab in the lobby.

  • Master new Sprites for Lucky Locators, Golden Fireworks, and other Gizmos.
  • A new page unlocks every week.
  • The Sprite Mastery Strongbox Back Bling upgrades as you progress.
  • Master 40 Sprites → Navigator's Nosedive Umbrella.

QoL in v43.00: this season’s Sprites show in numbered order, and each one gets a Sprite Stamp for how you acquired it. View Info explains the stamp.

Mastery Monday and Treasure Hours

Epic:

  • Mastery Monday — every Monday from 9 AM ET, 2× Sprite XP and 2× Sprite Dust all day. Sprite Chests and Wanted Posters appear in bigger numbers.
  • Treasure Hours Sundays — Captain’s weapons at the start of matches, boosted drops, “and more.” Exact hour is in the lobby MOTD that week, not on a fake timetable here.

If you are going to grind Mastery, Monday is the day Epic actually boosted.

What changed from Override

  • Gold Bars are vaulted. Follower services are free. Vending machines are removed (Pocket-O-Matic stays in Zero Build). You are not paying 500 gold to rift a Sprite out.
  • Crossbones Isle is 80 players and smaller. Poster walls will be contested. Cannons are the rotate.
  • Map Fragments (Epic: you “might also turn up a mysterious Map Fragment… one piece of something bigger”) are a Captain’s Day teaser, not a Sprite. Do not spend a Monday hunting fragments thinking they are posters.

Pirate Shop Access is not a Sprite. It is a BR chest prize: how-to.

FAQ

Do I still extract Sprites?

You still have to bank them or they do not stay in the collection. Epic did not republish pad coordinates for Crossbones Isle. Use the live extract UI. Our old Lifty Lodge / Sinister Strip pad list is wrong on this island.

Are Cube / Quack / Override Sprites gone?

They stay in the catalog as older collection entries. The launch twelve + Fortune / Cursed are the Treasure Hunters hunt. Gold returns 12 Nov.

Does Creative count?

No. This is Battle Royale on Crossbones Isle.

What if I cannot find posters?

Play Mastery Monday. Epic literally increased poster / chest density that day. Exmarks also reveals them.
