How Fortnite STK and TTK work here
Shots-to-kill (STK) is how many hits of the selected weapon are needed to drop the HP pool you set (100 / 150 / 200 or custom). Time-to-kill (TTK) is how long that takes at the listed fire rate if every shot lands and you do not reload mid-mag.
Headshot mode multiplies damage by the weapon’s headshot multiplier. Structure shots estimate how many hits to break wood, brick, or metal pieces using the same damage model as our weapons encyclopedia.
These numbers are for Chapter 7 Season 4 (Override) planning. Match Overrides, bloom, falloff, builds, and healing can change real fights — confirm after every balance hotfix on the weapon-changes page.
Weapon damage FAQ
Is DPS the same as TTK?
No. DPS is damage × fire rate on paper. TTK asks how long it takes to finish a specific HP pool with that gun.
Why is a shotgun’s TTK weird at range?
This calculator uses listed body damage, not pellet falloff. Close-range shotguns feel stronger than the sheet; long-range pumps feel weaker.
Do Mythics use different math?
Mythics use their encyclopedia row (for example Midas’ Masterpiece). Special rules like charge shots on Mega Buster are noted on the weapons page — pick the rarity you actually hold.
Where should I go after comparing two guns?
Open the loadout builder to lock a five-slot hotbar, or the full weapons encyclopedia to compare rarities side by side.
